Welcome to Serenity Childbirth Services
Grande Prairie Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, & Childbirth Educator located in Grande Prairie Alberta. My Doula bag is always packed and ready to go. I aim to learn all that I can learn about evidenced based research regarding childbirth and all matters surrounding. I am a mother of two (and one fur baby, our dog Emmett) , a wife to a very supportive and loving husband. My family understands the concept of on call life, that is my job and my passion. I am on call for a month surrounding a clients estimated due date. Formally and traditionally trained with 8 years of experience, over 180 families cared for in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
I have Doula blood, previous generations of First Nations women in my family have been labour coaches in their communities. I have a strong intuition in the delivery room. All five senses are keen to be there for the mother/ partner. I ask and can sense what everyone in the room needs so I may provide comfort and help the family advocate for their experience. I believe It's natural to carry our young in our womb and to nurture them. I will continue this undying passion and help families so they know of their many options in childbirth . I want to help normalize birth and support families so they make informed decisions for their own bodies and their babies. I am an open book with a positive, easygoing, and non projecting look on childbirth. To me there is no right and wrong way to give birth...to me, the only way is to be in a room with the support you deserve.
Also I love sharks ;)
